updates
november third two thousand five

i'm going on four years of running this website--that's pretty amazing. it doesn't seem like that long.

i do have four hundred and thirty-seven photos on this site, though it doesn't seem like that many. i counted up a few months ago and i've shot more than 5,000 photos since i started photography! i've slowed down lately, but i'm going to be getting back into the swing of things next semester. i'm doing independent study with steve terwilliger, the chair of the art department, focusing on medium format (4x5) that should open a lot of doors to me.

so, the message is: there is more on the way!

also, if you're interested in having a website designed for you, i'm very interested in doing it! check out designs.minusime.com to see what i offer.

also, i might be redesigning this website to look like this (partially functional). thoughts?

oh, and by the way: two new photos, more coming next week.

old+new

i just wrapped up a website today so i'm feeling more free to invest some time in my own. don't get too excited--by invest some time in my own, i mean put up a gallery. :)

and here it is.

sometimes...i neglect things. like this website. i haven't been shooting a lot of photos lately, and i've also been busy with work and travel, which is a lame excuse for not taking photos. i hope this isn't what the rest of my life is going to be like...

the new photos were taken over spring break in berlin. i do have a couple more pictures to put up soon, i'll not wait so long before the next update!

new pics! for eric!
may fourteenth two thousand five

#1: little girls, photo #1.
#2: eric katzung, photo #1.
#3: katrina louise, photo #2.

a new gallery is coming soon. next time, i promise. for now, enjoy these three pics, especially the photo of emma in the little girls gallery!

coming home party
march twenty-ninth two thousand five

europe was fantastic! artistically, i really got back in the groove of taking photographs. i think a change of scene and quite a bit of free time was good for me; i shot five rolls of film in four days.

i highly recommend berlin. i'm definitely going back sometime, hopefully next summer! that being said, the two photos i am releasing first are from zurich, switzerland, not berlin. sorry.

going away party
march sixteenth two thousand five

i'm leaving for berlin, germany in less than 33 hours from this very moment, and i couldn't be more excited! i'm spending a week there; i'm not sure how much photography i will be doing, but it will be the most i've done in a long while.

see one of my last 381 shots. and enjoy your life.
also, another long lost photo.

eric katzung
march seventh two thousand five

for the first time in the longest time, i have a guest photographer to highlight: eric katzung, a photography minor at uw-eau claire. enjoy!

just for you
february eleventh two thousand five

just for you, a nifty little photogram.

classes start tomorrow, for better and worse. i've been really busy over break, but all in all, God blessed me with a wonderful time! sorry for the lack of updates, i just kept putting it off. the good news is, my hiatus from photography is finished. taking photo classes always makes me stop taking pictures as soon as i am finished with the class, but i'm picking up again. i shot some candid portraits of a few of my friends this morning, nothing serious, but still, i'm on the road to creative recovery.

with that, i present my favorite pictures in a long while.
