here's a neat-o gallery for you. i've wanted to take these pictures for about five months, but i haven't had a chance to use the uwec strobes until last week. here's how it worked--my friend lisa and i set up a single strobe, then one dim lamp that is the same color as the strobe. i metered for the strobe, and set the secondary light source for about a 6-8 second exposure.
when i closed the shutter, the strobe went off and caught lisa's expression, then i had her move her head back and forth with the dimmer light to create the ghosting.
i'm really happy with these...it's pretty rare when a photo turns out just as i imagined it!
