reserve
december twenty-ninth
these pictures are a little sentimental to me. they are taconite elevators in silver bay, mn, at the taconite processing plant where my grandfather worked for years. the name of the plant is reserve mining (thus the gallery name) and every time i went to visit my grandparents, i saw the plant along highway 61.
artistically, i just liked the repetition of the lights as well as the interesting texture of the cement. i've tried to find a picture to take of the plant for about three years and finally found the right one, i'm pretty happy with the results.
