paper
december fourth
hooray for paper. i think that these are some of the strongest photos that i took all semester in art381, and my dear professor graded them as such. hooray, for once!
i backlit some drawing paper with a studio strobe, then layered pieces of paper over it. i used a reflected light meter to evaluate what my levels would be (particularly how dark the paper would be).
i love the texture in the paper; it has so much character and interest, and it's especially crucial in the first image. i really like how abstracted the second and third are, and i enjoy the human element of the fourth.
i'm addicted to shooting paper now.
