open space
july first
here is a collection of pictures i took in evergreen, colorado, at a jefferson county open space park. my dad and i had spent the night before south of georgetown at 11,000 feet, which gave us a good case of altitude sickness. we hightailed down i-70 to get to a lower elevation, and we eventually stopped in evergreen. i've been here before, so it was nice to be back. anyhow, we parked in this open space parking lot and took a morning nap to shake the nausea. i woke up after about half an hour and felt like fresh air, so i hiked around in this park for an hour or two, just shooting pictures. it was a dreary may morning, with lots of mist and nice cool air. it was a great walk.
i hope i didn't just bore you to tears--i'm in a rambling mood. in any case these are three of the pictures that i am pleased with from that park, and i really like the way they work together. it'd make a good series project, if only i was still in art281...
