nature's textures

one of my favorite pictures to take is the semi-generic texture study. find an interesting texture, set up a texturous light, and take a textury picture. nice. at the same time, these pictures are my enemy because they typically have poor composition by nature.
none the less, i like them. much like i like the foo fighters...you must like these, too?
the first two pictures were taken within about 200m of my house; the last was taken on a miniature island on a pond where i skate and play hockey.
