in the future, such things may meet

may twenty-eighth

this picture is part of a series i shot for my last art281 project. my idea was to expose, if you will, how lifeless, cold, and industrial the science building at uw-eau claire is. the thing really does have terrible architecture, i'm not kidding! being a physics major right now, i have class there every day and i've never felt inspired to learn because of the building.

anyhow, i thought it was a creative idea for the series. this photo alone, though, really appeals to me, with its orderliness and movement. i also like the color in it--i'm a big slate-blue guy.

This picture bends the color spectrum I think. I can't decided if it's color or black and white. woe is me.

These things must come to pass....

Kari, it's color. Use an RGB colorpicker on it.

Your observation about learning and architecture is right on. I would advise you to explore this subject further. Get a 4X5, go shoot the school, interview students, and research this idea further. This would make for a great thesis project, even for a physics major...not sure how but I'm sure it could work.
