flowers
november twenty-fifth
ahh, flowers. where would i be without them? they are my favorite "bored" subject. when i can't find any interesting shots to take, i wander around and take flower pictures.
i like the first two a lot. they're in gardens around my house; my mom is a huge gardener, so i have a lot of subjects. ironically, my sister took a much more beautiful picture of a similar flower; it's framed in my parent's bedroom. well, maybe it's not "much more beautiful" but it is "more beautiful" and i certainly wish i had taken it.
the third picture was taken at bayfront park, near silver bay, mn. this is one of my favorite pictures. i framed it and gave it to my sister for her birthday, how cool is that?
the fourth is historical. it's in front of my grandparents house; i think it was originally from my great-great aunt's farm. but i'm not sure about that. i like the composition of this one a lot.
the fifth is a flower in my mom's garden. nothing too special, but it's pretty and i took it.
the next is a b&w (obviously) of a rose that was sitting on a windowsill in my house. interestingly, i took the picture standing outside on the porch. i think i used a wide angle lens, which would explain the depth of focus and different perspective.
second to last is a picture that was almost an orphan. it isn't enough to have its own page, it's not a flower, it's not a tree. it goes here, though. it was in carson park.
the last is a pretty flower, i believe in carson park in eau claire. i'm not positive, though.
