droplet study

for some reason, i approached these pictures with a very sterile, mechanized technique. i knew that there were a lot of pictures to be had on this particular parking lot grease spot, so i was careful to take the most interesting ones i could.
for that reason, it seemed more like a study than spontaneous art, which i suppose has its advantages. i think i tend to find the spontaneous method much more fulfilling.
i like the first one a whole lot. these would both be great black and white photos as well.
