champlain ferry

i took these pictures on a ferry crossing lake champlain from new york to vermont. it's an eleven mile ferry, i forget which towns it goes to and from. in any case, i had plenty of time to play guitar in the sun, take pictures, play hack, etc. these pictures are very dear to me mostly because of the time and place, so don't feel bad if they are not so special to you.
photographically speaking, the shutter speeds were the same for both pictures. however, they were taken on opposite sides of the boat, thus giving the sun a grand opportunity to make a difference.
