chain link

august sixteenth

for some reason i'm always a bit hesitant to shoot pictures of chain link fences. i'm not sure why, really; something inside of me screams, "no, no no, not that picture! not now!"

and then sometimes i screw up and push the shutter release anyhow and i end up with a picture i like. ooops.

the first picture is at camp forest springs in northern wisconsin; the second, a homeless shelter underneath 494 in the twin cities.

I find the first picture rather dull, although i do enjoy the occasion camp forest spring. The second one is leaps and bounds better. I wonder how that hole got there!

Benjamin Holeman - Please read this. Your electronic "contact" system does not function. I'd like to use this photo in a (non-profit) safety training DVD I am producing for the Dept. of Labor's Mine Safety & Health Administration. I merely want to use this simple, high resolution image to illustrate one of many materials suitable for constructing equipment safety guards in the mining and minerals processing industry. It's nice work. Please contact me and give permission.
