a study in contrast

january sixth

both of these pictures were taken in my front room on a bright, sunny day. i was lookign for some extreme contrast and found it; the first is the sun through my christmas tree, the second my leather couch.

interestingly enough, the sun flare effect on the first one isn't a filter at all--i think it has something to do with the aperature on my camera. but i really have no idea.
