scott's car

this is an interesting digital piece. it's just as much film as digital, but i thought i'd put it here just because of the editing involved.
the car is my brother scott's gas-powered, radio-controlled car. it does something like 30mph with the current transmission in it; this particular engine can go about 75 with the right tranny. sweet! so anyhow, we built a jump out of a 4x8' sheet of plywood, and jumped it into the ditch beside a road.
i used my brother daniel's camera, a nikon f3 (semi-pro camera, it is very nice) with a motor drive. i think we were getting about 3.5 frames per second for the shoot.
finally, i scanned the 5 pictures in, used one as the primary background, and copied and pasted the car in the appropriate spots with photoshop. it was easier than i thought it would be.
the end result reminds me of a snowboard company ad. :)
