here's an interesting photograph. it looks almost computer generated, but it's 100% photo, plain and simple. the original subject was the roof of the minneapolis convention center, which has this spectacular bracing. the lighting was super flat, and instead of cranking up the contrast i decided to print it relatively flat and just go with it. i like the end result a lot, i think this is one of my top three favorite pictures i took this semester.
i love how there is that one little thing wrong with the symmetry--the one speaker out of place, with nowhere to go. that's the beauty this type of photography: there's always some flaw if you look for it. it keeps your photographic feet on the ground, i think.
